Thanks to everyone who supported and attended the Designing with fabric Exhibition 'Nature, Harmony & Memory' in 2010 at Balmain's Watch House Gallery. The exhibition was a huge success for all four artists: Pepa Martin, Aura Parker, Elkie Klein and myself.

We are looking forward to Designing with Fabric 2 at the same venue on the October long weekend, 2011. This print encapsulates some happy memories I have of a New Years spent holidaying at the beach with my family. My daughter Holly who was just a year old and her young cousins were so exhuberant about the fire works, their enthusiasm was contagious as they'd repeat "bang-abang-bang" over and over again.
The children and the fireworks became the inspiration for this bright, happy contemporary floral print and the flowers that compose the pattern are drawn from the local Macmasters Beach area.
